How much upkeep will I have with my countertops?
Routine cleaning of your countertops with mild soap and water is all that is generally required. Once a year, a re-application of a penetrating sealer should be performed, which only takes about 15 minutes or less and will protect it from a large portion of wear and tear. Engineered stone like Quartz countertops are maintenance free.
Will stone countertops add value to my property?

Do you build custom cabinets?
At CM Cabinets and Stone, we offer a wide variety of cabinet lines to fit any budget and style. All of our cabinet lines are stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinet manufacturers. Requests for quotes are accepted for special build cabinets by the majority of our lines.
How much does the average kitchen or bath project cost?
Due to the differences in all of our lines of cabinets, and the individuality of every project, It is impossible to state what the average would be. Our designers will happily work with you to create an estimate based on your preferences.
How long will the project take?
Once cabinets have been ordered, it is approximately 2 – 10 weeks depending on the cabinet line chosen. Once cabinets are installed, we will template for your tops and with a 2 week turn around, we will install your new tops and you will be ready to enjoy your new space.
How do I take care of my cabinets?
Properly caring for your cabinetry will help them last for many years.
Cabinet Interiors
- Wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth and immediately dry. Never use kitchen cloths or sponges that might contain detergent, grease, or embedded abrasives.
- Remove food residue or grease by using a common dish washing liquid (not detergent) or a solution of mild soap and water. Wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. If a spill occurs, clean and dry immediately. Left unattended, a spill can soak through the laminate or wood surface and cause damage.
Cabinet Exteriors – Stained or Painted
Your cabinets have received a finish treatment designed to resist foods, beverages and household agents typically found in the kitchen and bath. It is necessary, from time to time, to give your cabinets a regular, general cleaning.
Recommended
Clean at least once a month to protect the wood.
Use a clean, damp cloth and dry immediately.
Pay attention to areas with potential for excess moisture such as sink, range, dishwasher, ovens, and baseboards that can cause finish damage. Baseboards and the bottom of base cabinets have a tendency to collect invisible moisture.
Not Recommended
Do not use a dish cloth or sponge as it may contain residual grease or dishwashing detergent.
Never use soap pads, steel wool, or cleanser that contain bleach, ammonia, acids, alcohol, dyes, hydrogen peroxide solutions, any berry juice, abrasives, or products containing sodium bi sulfate. Use may cause discoloration, marring, or dulling of the finish.
Do not wax or polish cabinet surfaces. Waxing will create a residue that may be difficult to remove. Polishes containing silicone should not be used.
Avoid draping damp cloths or dish towels over the cabinet doors. The moisture can cause permanent damage to the finish over time.Small Scratches, Nick, and Dent
Most scratches can be repaired with a touch-up kit. If scratches or nicks persist after using the touch-up marker, a soft fill stick can be used. Simply rub the fill stick over the scratched area and remove excess with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid using sandpaper or any other type of abrasive paper or material to even out a scratch. It will damage the cabinet finish. More substantial repairs may require professional attention.
