C&M Cabinets and Granite Disclaimer
MATERIAL DISCLAIMER – C&M Cabinets and Granite always provides our customers the option to select the bundle that will be used for their particular application. If you choose C&M for your Natural Stone, we do need you to understand the below listed information:
– Natural Stone slabs are products of nature and natural fractures, small cracks, pits, blemishes, voids, and inconsistencies in color, shade, surface, texture, and slab thickness are common but not defects in your stone. The Marble and Granite Institution of America states that stone slabs reaching the market come from mountains that are many years of age and any inherent fractures are a part of the natural character of the stone. C&M makes NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES AGAINST GRAZING, SCRATCHING OR WEAR ON THE STONE SURFACE OR OTHERWISE, AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE SOLD SUBJECT TO VARIATION IN COLOR, FLOW, GRAIN, TONALITY, SPOTTING, VEINING, SHADE, AND TEXTURE.
– The seam placement is at the discretion of C&M. Seam(s) will be visible to the eye & touch. Every effort will be made to ensure that the seam is placed in the best location for aesthetics and structural integrity. It is impossible to perfectly match color or veining when seaming two pieces of granite together. The location and number of seams is a function of manufacturing and installation.
– C&M Cabinets and Granite guarantees the installation of stone (including both naturally occurring and man-made/engineered stones) countertops for the period of 12 months. However, because of the natural composition of stone as well as issues such as settling, we do NOT guarantee the material itself for the reasons listed above.
– As with any natural stone, staining, water circles, and etching can occur, so care and maintenance of the Natural Stone is extremely important. C&M Cabinets and Granite recommends you only use warm soap and water to clean your tops and seal the natural stone immediately after installation and once a year thereafter to help diminish the possibility of stains. NEVER use any cleaning products that contain bleach or ammonia as these chemicals can etch your stone as will anything that is acidic. Sealing will help to keep your stone beautiful, but nothing will keep it 100% perfect because stone is not perfect.
–We will NOT remove mirrors. We will not be held liable for damage to drywall as sometimes it is necessary for our installers to cut into drywall to make countertops fit properly. The customer is responsible for drywall repair and any paint touch ups necessary after the countertops are installed.
– If the customer is providing templates or measurements for fabrication of any material, we will not be responsible for an inaccurate product because of inaccurate templates/measurements
– C&M Cabinets and Granite is happy to remove existing tops. We will NOT install or hook up plumbing, appliances, electrical, or dishwasher supports after countertops have been installed. Nor will we move appliances as we cannot be liable for scratches to floors, Cabinets, Walls, etc. Customer is responsible for those services. We recommend 24hrs after installation for plumbing hook up.
– If C&M removes existing tops, but we make no guarantee that the material being removed will be reusable or that damage will not occur to walls or cabinetry. We will take every step to be as careful as possible, but it is the homeowner’s responsibility for all repairs and if needed, replacement of tops if breakage occurs.
– If the customer has chosen to pick up the finished product, we will not be held responsible for breakage once the product is released. Please keep in mind that natural stone is weakest when held flat or horizontal.
